Kanna and Others

So I recently (last year) started reading the manga 20th Century Boys written and drawn by Naoki Urasawa. It's absolutely incredible. I could gush about it this entire post, but I won't. Basically, it's a manga spanning a time period of several decades with incredible themes about growing up, morality, dreams, childhood mistakes, and truth. The writing alone makes it worth reading for anyone adult, but the art is also something special. I really like how the author draws characters and expressions. So while I was in class, I tried practicing the above character, Kanna, from memory. I'll have a look in a minute to see how well I did.

Practicing action poses, in this case one from the manga that I tried to recall.

In the above picture, I was practicing with fabric and clothing on a character. I ended up putting more attention into the face anyway. Go figure. We keep trucking forward.

I think I was practicing expressions with this one too, but I don't remember for sure. Anyway, I liked it enough to include here.

God's will be done. Save me. I love you. Amen.
