Better Action

This week I moved into the condo I bought with my parents and started graduate school. It's alright so far. Getting this condo was so much easier than it should have been, praise God.

Recently, I watched a video where the guy used a certain concave octagon as the body shape for human action poses, and I tried it and really liked it. That technique has really helped me in making more dynamic action poses.

Both of these are really sketchy drawings I did almost without erasing in class today. The top is of Ladybug from, of course, Miraculous Ladybug, and the bottom page has two drawings mostly inspired by a pose that can be seen in the film version of Alita: Battle Angel. Both, surprisingly, were done without references besides memory. I think my improvement with foreshadowing limbs and this new body form really helps.

Moving into a new house has had its challenges. It seems like every day I mess up something else, but that's the growing experience I guess. It's an adventure. You fail and you learn, then you do it over again. God preserve me. Help me in this new time in my life. I need you for everything. God be with me.

Unmasking Episodes

These are some shots I did for my Pitch Bible to illustrate some moments from important episodes. You may recognize both of these scenes from the script I wrote. I decided these would be multiple episodes, because there were too many ideas to fit into one. I did these illustrations in Adobe Illustrator. I am especially pleased with how the first one turned out. I like how dynamic I got it to be and how the foreshortening is done.

This next picture is of Ana Manuela versus Tri-Color. There are still some character design errors in these images, but they are so much better than a lot of stuff I've done in the past.

God's will be done. I commit this, as always, to you, one true God.
